Character headcanon: His scars don’t hurt all the time, he’s not a virgin, but he’s come to loathe sex with women and it takes a lot for him to recover after that night with Hawke, if he does get with F!Hawke, then it’s an even longer road to recovery.

Independence is something Fenris guards like Varric does his stories. It might be better to say he hoards that bit of himself away, and snarls at anyone who might threaten it. 

It’s been years since he escaped Tevinter, since he snapped Danarius’ neck in the Hanged Man but still he holds to that bit of freedom, that ability to do what he dammed well pleased as if it was all that kept him going some days.
