So, IM3 is starting to premiere in places. Which is cool. However, some of us won’t be able to see the movie for a while longer, and some of us don’t want spoilers.
Thus I ask that you tag your IM3 posts. That way tumblr savior will hide the post and I will get to enjoy the movie with as few spoilers as possible.

Ok now that milodrums said it, I can’t stop thinking of the new AC 4 protagonist as an AU version of Anders that might have been raised by the Crows and wound up in the Brotherhood somehow. IDK, I can easily cross my games.

Hmmm… say, if you take someone who has never played any previous games in the series but saw the movies, how does it stand as just a zombie game and not a series installment?
I wouldn’t compare the two in terms of deciding to play Resident Evil. IMHO the first two movies are the only ones that follow the games path, after that it’s diverged into a gore fest, but that’s my take on it. There’s actually a new RE film in theatres, Resident Evil: Retribution but it seems to have little attachment to the game lore.
There is back story provided as you go along. In terms of just straight up zombie killing fun? Good times.I’m sure there are people who are picking it up just for killing shit. There’s also Left 4 Dead, Left 4 Dead 2 for KILL ALL THE ZOMBIE fun times.
I actually don’t know how much time has supposed to have elapsed between RE5 and RE6, but apparently you find out what has been going on with some of the characters since previous games.

So, this is the the thing that’s sort of eaten my life over the last week. First half of the story is here (@4600 words), the other half will be up by this weekend. I wanted to make sure that I could actually finish writing it before posting it on my AO3/de-anon-ing.
Nothing particularly triggery content-wise in this, besides being depressing in general, due to the fact that it’s about a relationship that’s falling apart. Warnings ahead of time for some very explicit sexual content, because that’s mostly out of the ordinary for me, and people might not be expecting it.
Summary: Hawke and Anders love each other, but sometimes love just isn’t enough. The relationship dissolves despite their best efforts, and it’s mutual.Prompt: Everything good comes to an end. Hawke doesn’t laugh and Anders doesn’t smile anymore. Hawke is cold as ice after the death of his/her mother, and Anders is more obsessed than ever with his manifesto and freeing the mages. Everyone sees it, including Hawke and Anders.

You have every right to grieve on your terms - for as long as you need, and however you want to do it. No one is going to rush you. No one is going to judge you for that, least of all me.
I’m glad that you had a good visit with Kaidan. I’d like to visit you, if you’ll let me. I’ll bring you some pizza and we can sit and talk. But let’s only do it when you’re ready to talk. If for some reason you’re not ready before I leave for Atraxis, someday you can have your ship take shore leave down in the colony. Hopefully, I’ll have some place for soldiers to relax by then. I’ve got a contract up for a small hotel and a city park.
I think you should press the issue about being allowed to have your guitar. Even if they make you leave it with one of the nurses because of the strings. My music has always been a comfort to me in the times I’ve felt depressed and lonely, and I know it’s the same for you. We’ve talked about this before. Talk to your doctor about it.
I just wanted to say again that I, of all people, can identify with some of the things that you’re feeling right now. I don’t think I’ve ever shared my experience on Mindoir with you. Someday, when you’re ready to discuss Tiptree, we can find some quiet place where no one will give a shit if we both break down in tears.
If you’re never able to discuss it, that’s fine, too. This is all on your terms, Jeff. I’m not your commanding officer anymore, but I’d like to continue to be your friend. Don’t worry about bothering me with messages. Call or message me any time you want.

So tell me… I just saw this on the ME3 community on LJ:
We are aware that there are concerns about a recent post from this account regarding the ending of the game. In this post it was stated that at this time we do not have plans to change the ending.
We would like to clarify that we are actively and seriously taking all player feedback into consideration and have ruled nothing out. At this time we are still collecting and considering your feedback and have not made a decision regarding requests to change the ending.

Are there people actually asking a game company to re-do a game’s ending? I mean a game that was a long ass time in the making, etc etc etc.. and people are actually asking EA/Bioware to CHANGE THE ENDING?
I’m missing something here, someone needs to explain in small words. Send me a pm or submit or ask if you don’t want to have spoilers in the discussion for others.
FWIW, I am getting ME3 soon, I just didn’t have the money or time to get it at launch. But since people still can’t tag/title their posts I’ve given up hope on not getting spoiled for the game.
